Our History
In 2017, our Founder Yas was set on launching Australia’s first circular economy precinct, a permanent space that integrated her vision to renew, repair, repurpose, recover and ultimately recommerce products which would otherwise be destined for landfill.
In April 2020, the first ever location of Circonomy (at the time World's Biggest Garage Sale) had opened its doors. This milestone was reached with a deep commitment to our mission, despite the challenges posed by a worldwide pandemic, which inspired our team to persevere and adapt.
Our precinct has since transformed into a dynamic retail and mixed-use hub. Here, the community, consumers, and businesses converge to explore and engage with the principles of the circular economy. Guided by our enthusiastic team, we offer a diverse array of products, services, and solutions that foster a more circular economy.
Brisbane

Our Brisbane location is not just our flagship; it's the birthplace of Circonomy, originally launched as the World's Biggest Garage Sale. While our scope has expanded, the essence of WBGS—the heart and soul of our community-driven mission—resonates through everything we do here.
Here our Refurbishment and Repair Squad operates their workshop - offering personalised refurbishment services for clients and custom work, and crafts our beloved 'Handmade with Love' range, made from 80-100% recycled textiles.
Melbourne
4/3B Newlands Road, Reservoir
In November 2023, we proudly opened our Melbourne precinct, marking a significant milestone in Circonomy’s national expansion.
This location embodies our dream to weave circular practices into the fabric of everyday life, combining new and restored fixtures and fittings that were once destined for landfill.
Here, we're not just opening a store; we're planting the seeds of change, nurturing the growth of sustainable habits across Australia. This is just the beginning of our passionate journey to make circularity the norm.
